After having a pet sitter/walker the last 2 years in Dallas, we moved to San Antonio and began a search for our kids to have someone take care of them while we worked all day. David came recommended by a few people and we invited him over to visit us and be interviewed by Dirk (the dog) and Socks (the cat). While we enjoyed the visit, Dirk's interview consisted on allowing David to walk him for a bit, rub his tummy and pet him. Socks made an appearance to check out the new guy and stayed around with an approving attitude (for you cat people you know what that means). The visit and interview lasted an hour, and the decision to let David into our home and be the "kids" sitter/walker was almost immediate and we have not been disappointed at all. David's charisma, attitude, maturity and obvious affection for animals made it too easy. We have used David to house sit a few times already and he has done an outstanding job and we trust him with all that we have. Even the kids give him "two paws up" when we come home. Eight months ago I suddenly became a widow. I had two dogs who rarely spent much time without one of us at home and I was unable to walk them. One of them was a 16 year old Beagle (Arthur) and the other a 9 year old Dalmatian ( David). I still consider it a miracle that I found David. Within 5 minutes of meeting him I knew I could count on him. He has been with us for 8 months. He comes to the house every day, walks and visits with them, helps me get them to the vet, and most importantly, he loves them. My beloved Arthur died yesterday, and David was right there with us. I believe David's presence and those walks helped him stay well for these 8 months. Dog Walker does not begin to describe what he means to us and meant to Arthur.
